Black Cherry OG, also known more commonly as simply “Blackcherry” to most of the cannabis community, is an indica dominant hybrid strain. This dank bud has closely guarded genetics, although it is known that it is a cross between Ken's OG X an unknown Grand Daddy Purple strain. The THC level of this bud has never been tested, although it is generally agreed that it is moderate, or between 12-18%. Users describe the Black Cherry OG high as one that is incredibly relaxed at the onset, leaving you uplifted, happy, and slightly sleepy. This is followed by a heavy-hitting potent sedation and couch-lock that leaves you completely relaxed with a moderate cases of the munchies before easing you into a deep sleep. Due to these potent effects, Black Cherry OG is said to be an ideal strain for treating patients suffering from condition such as chronic pain due to injury or illness, insomnia, chronic stress, or mild cases of depression. Black Cherry OG buds have an aroma of sweet and spicy berry with a taste of sweet berry tea with a hint of blueberry spice. These buds have long, dense pepper-shaped forest green nugs with patches of minty green and a spattering of bright orange hairs and trichomes.
